How to Turn Off Announce Notifications on AirPods

To turn off announce notifications on AirPods, first open Control Center on your iPhone. This menu is in the More Controls section. Look for the Announce Messages with Siri option, and turn it off. To find it, swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen, or swipe up from the bottom edge of any screen. The icon will have a waveform on it.

Siri can now read out incoming text messages

If you’re using Apple AirPods, Siri can read out incoming text messages. The feature will announce the message’s sender, read out the message and even listen for a reply. You don’t even have to say “Hey Siri” to use the feature.

You can select whether Siri should announce all incoming texts or just those from certain people. You can also choose to announce your favorites and your recent contacts separately. Once you enable the feature, Siri will read out your incoming messages and play a text tone over the AirPods. When a new message comes in, Siri will pause the music and ask you whether you want to reply to it. If you do not want to reply, you can cancel the reply and continue to listen to your music.

If you’re using AirPods to listen to music, you’ll want to make sure they’re paired with your iPhone. To do this, open the charging case and bring them close to your iPhone. Then, Siri will prompt you to pair them with your iPhone. Once paired, Siri will begin reading incoming messages to you, but it’s important to note that you can turn off the Announce Messages with Siri function for specific apps and contacts. By default, the Siri voice assistant will read out messages from everybody, but you can change that setting to your preference in the settings.

If you want to turn off Siri reading your incoming text messages, you can toggle the setting in your iPhone’s Control Center. You can also disable the feature completely if you don’t want Siri to read the message out loud. The toggle option will only work if your AirPods or Beats headphones are connected to your iPhone.

Siri can also read out incoming text messages through AirPods. This feature is called Announce Messages with Siri and requires an iPhone and AirPods. Incoming text messages are read out by Siri when you have your AirPods on, allowing you to respond to messages without having to look at them. If you are in a hurry, you can double-tap the AirPod and let Siri read the message.

Another benefit of Siri reading incoming texts on AirPods is that it can also read incoming text messages from 3rd-party apps, such as Twitter, Slack, and Snapchat. You can even dictate your reply to a text message. The features are available today for beta testers of iOS 13 and will be rolled out to all iOS users later this year.

Siri can also read out iMessages via an Apple Watch. However, you may have to turn off the Announce Message feature if you use any other type of headphones.

You can temporarily disable Announce Messages

If you’re constantly hearing notifications on your AirPods, you can temporarily disable them by pressing the “Announce Messages” icon in the Control Centre. This will prevent Siri from reading out loud your messages while you’re using your AirPods. Alternatively, you can permanently turn off Announce Messages from your headphones.
